Commercial Door Technician
The Commercial Door Technician is responsible but not limited to:
Review Work Order information for accuracy and completeness before departing for job, including verifying address of customer location.
Understand the basics of track alignment, track adjustment, horizontal leveling with slight raise, adequate back hangs, and operator arm setting.
Assess installation requirements and planning the appropriate steps of the installation or repair process.
Direct the activities of any Helper(s) assigned to the job for assistance and answer any questions a helper may have concerning the assigned tasks or installation requirements.
Clean up all trash from job site.
Act as the primary interface to the customer representative for any questions, directives, or problem resolution.
Respond to customer questions in a truthful and pleasant manner.
Strive for complete installation of each job, exhausting all efforts which may include overtime and/or weekend work.
Note what actions need to be taken if the job cannot be finished or is not completed.
Ensure job site is safe and all materials are out of the way upon completion.
Return completed paperwork daily.
Housekeeping of truck, daily log book, standard DOT procedures.
Maintain a working knowledge of installed products.
Communicate with sales staff and field operations to ensure installation is complete and meets quality standards.
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
Maintain a customer-friendly attitude.
Attend and participate in all required safety meetings and training sessions
