Job Description

Overhead Door Company of Northern Kentucky is looking to hire a Residential Sales Representative to service the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. The successful candidate must have experience in selling garage doors and other related products to homeowners, residential builders, contractors and property managers.

The Residential Sales Representative position encompasses all aspects of marketing, sales, promotions, public relations, and customer service as it relates to ensuring positive customer relationships and superior customer service.

Responsibilities of the Residential Sales Representative position includes:

  • Promoting Overhead Door Company of Northern Kentucky products and accessories
  • Following up and scheduling all customer requests for sales estimates
  • Prospect and generate sales leads independent of what the company generates including
    • Contractors and builders
    • Property Managers, Project Managers and Construction Managers 
    • Wholesale/Retail outlets and lumber yards
    • Home warranty and service contract providers
    • Insurance Agents
    • Emergency restoration companies
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and bidding requirements
  • Estimate the cost of materials, labor and equipment while ensuring all areas of of the bid are covered
  • Determine best product for project optimizing profit and safety
  • Perform take-offs from plans and interpret specifications
  • Provide estimates to potential and existing customers including
    • Introduction of company products to the customer
    • Discussing benefits and features of the recommended product options and how they meet the customer’s needs and requirements
    • Measurement and review of the installation job site
    • Determining the cost of the installation and discussion of applicable upgrades
    • Conducting a complete review of the products and services included as part of the estimate
    • Verification of the pricing with the customer
    • Closing the sale and collecting all applicable deposits and payments
    • Complete all necessary paperwork and provide copies to the customer and Scheduling Manager
    • Ensure all scheduled work is performed to the customer’s satisfaction and resolve any issues or problems.
