Job Description

The Sale Manager manages all aspects of the company pertaining to the sale and installation of overhead doors, dock equipment and all other related products and services.

The scope of this position includes recruiting, hiring, and training employees, managing the day-to-day operations of estimating, scheduling, deploying, monitoring, and billing of residential and commercial installation jobs, maintaining inventory control of products and accessories, promoting a positive relationship with customers, tracking and reporting of group performance against objectives, interfacing to office and administrative support functions.


KEY TASKS:

Primary Job Functions:
 Opening and preparing the office for business each morning.
 Scheduling each day’s work assignments for installers.
 Reviewing work assignments with each member of the installation/service team before they leave the office to perform the day’s work, reviewing address, location, and job details.
 Contacting business and residential contacts to receive access confirmation for the day’s jobs.
 Reviewing today’s job assignments and estimates to determine which jobs to check. Scheduling and performing both residential and commercial sales appointments as necessary.
 Processing job billing data from previous day’s jobs completed, including time, material, and any other costs.
 Recording sales totals for inclusion in management reporting system.
 Answering any queries from customers as they come up during the business day.
 Reviewing blueprints for job estimates and proposals when required.
 Monitoring public bid request systems for potential opportunities and following up where appropriate.
 Pre-scheduling today’s call-in orders for tomorrow’s work assignments.
 Setting tentative schedule for next day’s work assignments.
 Going into the field and check on selected installation jobs.
 Visiting contractors either on the job site or at their offices to promote a good working relationship.
 Verifying time cards on a weekly basis for accuracy and update management reports accordingly.
